Materials Recovery Facility
TDS processes the majority of its recyclables through its Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). As the heart of TDS’ recycling operations, the MRF processes 40-45 tons of material per hour including cardboard, paper, plastic, glass and aluminum that has been diverted by the communities and businesses that TDS serves.
Opened in 2010, the MRF spans more than 160,000 square feet, featuring two sorting systems that process materials mechanically, manually, and electronically. We are always expanding our vision of what recycling can include and are continuously looking for ways to divert even more material from the landfill and repurpose that material for new life.
Paper

Rebate Program
Our commercial and industrial recycling solutions use a rebate program based on fair market rates for materials. Meaning that depending on your business’ volume, there is minimal or no cost to you for disposing of bulk waste materials, with potential to earn a rebate for your business. Your rebate comes as a check and the amount is dependent on the type and volume of materials and the current market rate.
A metrics report for your diverted waste is also made available for your records. Use the diverted waste metrics report for legal compliance and to meet your industry’s environmental standards.
