TDS and Affiliated Facilities

In 1990, TDS was granted TCEQ permit #2123, which allowed for the opening of the state's first totally integrated landfill, recycling and compost facility in 1991. Brush grinding and static stockpile compost production and recycling operations were conducted at the site of the landfill from the start. In 1997, TDS established Texas Organic Products (TOP), a large-scale commercial composting operation located adjacent to the TDS landfill. In 2001 TDS acquired Garden-Ville, a subsidiary that produces and markets organic gardening products including compost, soil blends, fertilizers and organic pest controls for both horticulture professionals and home gardeners.

Convenience Centers

For dropping off solid waste and delivering selected recyclable materials, the following facilities are open to the public:

Texas Disposal Systems landfill citizen convenience center hours: 7:00 am-dusk Monday- Saturday
Eco Depot hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Saturday
Georgetown convenience center: 8:00am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-5:00pm Monday-Saturday

Transfer Stations:

Bee Cave Transfer Station - open to the public and haulers
Starcrest Transfer Station - open to haulers with contracts; open to the public, 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm Saturday
